My 2023 Gratitude: Starting Physical Exercises
2023 has been a year not unlike many others in my life. But if I must mention one aspect of my life that improved last year, it is that I started physical exercises that resulted in considerable progress in my body. I was not an obese guy, but my belly was so fat from poor diet and lack of physical activity. I was never eager to exercise until last year, and I managed to cut back some kilograms and slim down my belly. The result was so clearly visible that many of my family members and friends noticed. So, I want to express my gratitude to those who motivated me into doing something I was never eager to.
The person whom I consider the most influential to my starting exercises last year is my colleague, Farah. She was the one who invited me to join Strong Nation classes as well as to run at GBK stadium. Farah, I am forever grateful for what you have done for me.
I am also thankful to Coach Denny and my Strong Nation mates: Momo, Rina, Hilda, Dian, Mbak Mita, Uni Andam, Ci Moon, etc. who have been important in my starting this journey.
I would also like to give thanks to my GBK mates: Farah, Rina, Mauli, Stephanie, Chorni, Indri, Jessica, Dian, etc. who have accompanied my running and kept me motivated to continue.
Another exercise I started last year is Muay Thai. for that, I am grateful to Comi and Jessica, who invited me to join Muay Thai classes; my Muay Thai mate Momo; as well as Coaches Andy, Humam, Ian, Rexy, etc.
Finally, I am also thankful to Anggita for inviting me to join her exercise sessions together with Stephanie, Rira, Melly, etc.
I hope that 2024 will be the year in which I continue this journey of physical exercise and self-improvement. striving to be — as Thom Yorke said — fitter, healthier, and more productive.
