My 2024 Exercise Journey

Image
2024 has been the year in which I continued my journey of physical exercise and self-improvement . I continued running and practicing Muay Thai, which I started in 2023. I registered for gym membership in January, and routinely went to the gym 1-2 times a week most of the time. I joined a running race for the first time. Here's a brief recap: I started running in 2023 thanks to Farah and Rina, who invited me to join them running at GBK stadium and whom I consider my running seniors. I also often ran at GBK with Mauli and Stephanie. In 2024, my number 1 GBK mate was Mbak Miranda, who is also my running senior and has finished the Tokyo Marathon before. Mbak Miranda and Stephanie have accompanied my running at GBK the most throughout the year. With Mbak Miranda, Mauli, and Stephanie at GBK I also joined a running club: the FISIP UI runners, which consists of the alumni of the university's faculty where I went to. I am grateful to Chorni, Vivi, and Indri who invited me to join the...

My 2023 Gratitude: Starting Physical Exercises

Image
2023 has been a year not unlike many others in my life. But if I must mention one aspect of my life that improved last year, it is that I started physical exercises that resulted in considerable progress in my body. I was not an obese guy, but my belly was so fat from poor diet and lack of physical activity. I was never eager to exercise until last year, and I managed to cut back some kilograms and slim down my belly. The result was so clearly visible that many of my family members and friends noticed. So, I want to express my gratitude to those who motivated me into doing something I was never eager to. The person whom I consider the most influential to my starting exercises last year is my colleague, Farah. She was the one who invited me to join Strong Nation classes as well as to run at GBK stadium. Farah, I am forever grateful for what you have done for me. I am also thankful to Coach Denny and my Strong Nation mates: Momo, Rina, Hilda, Dian, Mbak Mita, Uni Andam, Ci Moon, etc. who...
